La piogga porta miracoli

Cara famiglia,

I’ll just tell you a little bit about each day. Because the words just aren’t coming to me right now. Last week I did a scambio with Sorella Curtis. Everything we planned fell through, but, we ate some yummy gelato to make up for it 🙂 Then, on Friday we went to Milano for mission consiglio and it was pretty inspiring, helped build my self-confidence, adn gave me the motivation to speak up and baptize!

We are really focusing on the family right now (Speaking of which, I am still waiting on the pictures and stories thanks mom:)), and we are using the new “My Family” booklet. We have been asking people questions about their family, showing them pictures of our family, and inviting them to learn more about how they can be closer to their ancestors. The spirit of Elijah is real and I know it is the key to opening some of these Italian’s hearts 🙂 On Sunday, we found 3 new investigators in the matter of a couple of hours thanks to this new booklet!

We also met a pastor from Guadalajara Mexico, and we taught him on the street.

A couple of days ago my wallet disappeared on a train. We were headed back from zone training and it just got lost in the shuffle of things. So Sorella Reichert and I ran around all afternoon trying to file a denuncia and figure it all out. We got home, finally ate lunch, and then decided to hop on the bikes and find one of Sorella Reichert’s old investigators (she served in Mestre a little over a year ago). As we start biking, 2 minutes into it, it just starts pouring. Like, more than I have ever seen. But, we really needed to go find this woman. So we kept going. I’m just riding my bike in the pouring rain, soaked from head to foot, and my wallet had gone missing that day, and all I could do was laugh 🙂 For some reason, I was in such a good mood. I was pretty thankful that Heavenly Father blessed me with the ability to be super happy despite everything that could have gone wrong. And thanks to the rain, this woman took pity on us and let us come inside to dry off and teach her a little 🙂

I truly believe that we have the abilty to change our situation, however difficult it might be. We can be happy in the most difficult of circumstances – there truly is silver lining in everything, a miracle for every day, and something to be grateful for.

Vi voglio un sacco di bene!

Sorella Strong
